Interview

  • A relaxed conversation and interview at no cost to you.  Wheather you are wanting a home birth or to birth at the birth center, this meeting generally takes place at the birth center located in the medical center.

    Prenatal Care and Preparation for Birth

  • Comfortable office setting
  • Complete prenatal care (average of 10 to 13 visits before birth)
  • Holistic support as you journey through pregnancy
  • Lab work collected in-office
  • A home visit around 36 weeks for home birthing families
  • Referral and consultation if needed
  • Childbirth preparation classes if desired
  • Lending library of over 200 books and dvd's
  • Monthly Mother's Tea where potential clients have an opportunity to meet the midwife and share a cup of tea with past and present clients who gather to share experiences and offer support and community
  • Available by phone and/or e-mail during normal business hours for general questions.
  • Alisa and/or associate/s continually on call 24/7 for emergent issues and from 38 to 42 weeks gestation. 

    Labor and Birth Care

  • Personalized labor support from a licensed midwife and associate/s
  • Compassionate and loving care for your Home Birth or Birth Center Birth
  • Birth team that loves Water Births
  • 19 years experience making your midwife an expert in normal birth and the variables that may come - including twins, breeches and VBAC/HBAC
  • Referral and consultation as needed
  • Continued support if a hospital transfer is needed

    Newborn and Postpartum Care

  • Complete head-to-toe newborn exam within 2 hours of birth
  • Mother and Baby postpartum care includes a visit at 48 hrs and 1 to 2 weeks and 6 weeks (additional visits scheduled as needed)
  • Filing of Texas Birth Certificate and SS Card application
  • Newborn Screen (PKU) blood test
  • Guidance as you transition to parenting that includes breastfeeding support

    Payment Options

  • Payment plans available with balance paid in full by 36 weeks
  • Cash discount of 10% if paid in full by 20 weeks
